The book is a collection of stories by the famous American science fiction writer Ray Bradbury. Bradbury's short stories are recognized as masterpieces of modern literature. Without diminishing the importance of his major works, it is worth recognizing that it was in this form of literary creativity that the writer reached the pinnacle of his mastery. Their style is a rapid, emotional sketch, unusually bright and original, unusual memorable plots and subtle psychologism in revealing the images of the heroes. The texts of the stories are adapted for educational purposes to the Pre-Intermediate level and are accompanied by commentary, as well as tasks for practicing and consolidating skills in grammar and vocabulary. An English-Russian dictionary is provided at the end of the manual. The book is addressed to students in grades 7-8 of schools, lyceums and gymnasiums and to all those studying English.
