The manual includes excerpts from such classic English-language works as "Oliver Twist" by Charles Dickens, "Jane Eyre" by Charlotte Bronte, "Treasure Island" by Robert Louis Stevenson, "The Problem of Thor Bridge" by Arthur Conan Doyle, "The Headless Horseman" by Thomas Mayne Reid, "A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court" by Mark Twain.
The collection also contains fragments of the British epic about King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table and excerpts from English folk ballads about Robin Hood.
