Puck of the Hills (1906) is a series of short stories by the English writer Rudyard Kipling about the forest spirit Puck, the last of the remaining fairies of the Hills, who introduces two children of Kipling's time, Dan and Una, to the history of England and British mythology. He invites them to meet the Norman knight Richard, the Roman centurion Parnesius, the sailor Hal, the beekeeper Hobden and the Jewish moneylender Kadmiel, in whose fascinating stories historical events are intertwined with plots about Scandinavian gods and fairies of the Hills. Each story in the series is accompanied by one or two poems by Kipling. Unadapted edition in English.
