Crew, and his story, is nothing like Whit- though at the outset, we have similar narrative architecture. An elite boy, besotted with a girl, who he equal parts desires and resents, all because she captures him. And while Crew starts with some mild bully vibes, once this love story picks up, this is NOTHING like the vitriolic toxicity that we love about Whit Lancaster and his broody ways. Crew is a whole other animal- but one equally transfixing, and certainly just as appealing. But this book is a WHOLE other vibe- more sweet, very charming, and a WHOLE lot swoony- Crew falls hard and fast, and soon you’ll find very little in common with him and his cousin’s story, other than their last name.
