Agatha Christie: Hercule Poirot's Christmas

One of the best detective stories by Agatha Christie with a classic English locked room mystery. The events of the novel "Hercule Poirot's Christmas" unfold on the eve and after Christmas, from December 22 to 27, in the country house Gorston Hall in the fictional town of Longdale on the border of England and Scotland. The story centers on the murder of the owner of the house, the elderly millionaire Simeon Lee, who for the first time in twenty years decided to gather all his children for Christmas. The murder occurs directly on the evening before Christmas after a big family scandal. The main investigation is conducted by the talented inspector Sugden with the support of Colonel Johnson, the chief of the local police. Since Johnson's friend Hercule Poirot was visiting his house on the evening of the murder, the colonel invites the famous detective to help solve the murder as an unofficial consultant, and he, as always, copes with the task brilliantly.
